Clarion Events, organizers of DSEi, are hosting The Baby Show at ExCeL next weekend. We’ll be there to let parents know that when Clarion isn’t “provid[ing them] with everything [they] need for pregnancy, birth, baby and beyond”, it’s busy providing other parents with death and destruction.
Join us at ExCeL. The Baby Show runs from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Friday 27 February to Sunday 1st March. You might like to bring some copies of this leaflet, produced by London Campaign Against the Arms Trade. If you’d like to attend the show, tickets are available online for £11.95, or on the door for £13.50. Please note that the DLR service to ExCeL is suspended at the weekend, but there’s a replacement bus service.
There have been protests at previous Clarion Events shows last year, including The Baby show and Spirit of Christmas. Unicef, and Bounty, which was to be a major sponsor, withdrew their involvement from the Baby Show when they were alerted to the arms link.
Clarion is also organizing four other military and security events, in the ExCeL Centre, Brussels, Cannes and Rio de Janeiro, and has recently joined the Defence Manufacturers Association. This week Clarion are in Abu Dhabi, promoting DSEi and other arms fairs.
